The 2025-2026 Volleyball Season proved to truly be the season that changed everything. “It was a history-making year for the volleyball team,” Coach Dallas Gines said. “We made history by beating Thunder for the first time ever, by winning a district championship for the first time, and also winning a state championship for the first time in school history.”
“It felt amazing,” Ali Maddux (12) said. “Easily one of the greatest moments of my life. Very nerve wracking but so exciting. I feel extremely grateful to have been a part of it.”
When asked about what contributed to the team’s historic success this season, players cited the importance of the team’s culture and support system. “We have been working for this moment our entire lives, it was good to see all our hard work pay off.” Natalie Petty (12) said. “Our team worked together so much better this year. Our culture changed for the better and I loved it.”
“This culture really contributed to our success throughout the season,” Mylee Sapp (12) said. “Our team was able to become a family where we supported and helped each other.”
“Each of us individually wanted it so badly, that each game we gave it our all and left it out on the court,” Jenna Jensen (12) said. “Also the amazing support from the parents and our coaches who pushed us every day to be the best we can be.”
