There is a lot of food to cook in a pinch, but here are 10 of my favorite recipes that are hands down the easiest. Now, these aren’t full recipes, but can get you started and allow you to mix it up or find a recipe online.

  1. Spaghetti and Meat Sauce: Cook spaghetti according to package directions, and then serve with a simple meat sauce made from browned ground beef, canned tomato sauce, and some Italian seasoning.
  2. Tacos: Cook up some seasoned ground beef or chicken, and serve with taco shells or tortillas and your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.
  3. Grilled Cheese Sandwich: Simply butter, some bread, add slices of cheese, and grill in a skillet until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
  4. Fried Rice: Cook up some rice, and then fry it with some chopped vegetables, scrambled eggs, and soy sauce for a quick and delicious meal.
  5. Omelet: Beat some eggs with salt and pepper, pour into a skillet, and add your favorite fillings like cheese, diced ham, or chopped vegetables.
  6. Quesadillas: Place cheese and any other desired fillings between two tortillas and cook in a skillet until the cheese is melted.
  7. Baked Potatoes: Microwave or bake potatoes until tender, and then top with butter, sour cream, and shredded cheese.
  8. BLT Sandwich: Toast some bread, and then add bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo for a classic and easy sandwich.
  9. Caesar Salad: Toss chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing, croutons, and parmesan cheese for a simple and tasty salad.
  10. Chicken Stir Fry: Cook up some sliced chicken and vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, and onions in a skillet with soy sauce and serve over rice.

Overall these recipes are nice and fun to cook. I hope that you can test out a few and see what you like or don’t like. My personal favorite is the spaghetti, as it is really easy and very hard to mess up.
