The Idaho Falls Chukars have announced that they will now be a ¨partner league¨ of the MLB. The Chuckers will transition from affiliated status to an independent professional MLB partner league, this will provide high quality baseball to the states of Idaho, Colorado, Montana, and Utah. For those of you that dont know, a Pioneer league is an independent baseball league that only runs in the rocky mountain region of the United states, they are not affiliated with the major leagues and they then become a partner league of the MLB.

There are eight members of the pioneer league: The Billings Mustangs, the Grand Junction Rockies, the Great Falls Voyagers, the Idaho Falls Chukars, the Missoula Paddleheads, the Ogden Raptors, Northern Colorado Owls, and finally the Rocky Mountain Vibes. All of these teams will keep their names and brands and also will still be participating in the league.
